Toddler Assistant Teacher - Montessori Program A Little Journey Montessori School is looking for a toddler room assistant teacher. We are looking to hire a qualified teacher for this licensed childcare facility. We are looking for a part-time (or full-time) wonderful, loving, caring toddler assistant teacher with Montessori experience preferred but not required. We are a year round program that is open 8:00 am to 4:00 pm Monday through Friday, shifts would vary between the hours of 7:30 am and 4:30 pm. Aligned - with what we do and who we are. Thrive - not survive, want more grow. Job Description: Aid lead teachers with classroom management. Change diapers as needed. Supervise young children inside and outside. Cleaning up after children and light chores throughout the day. Assisting children with their individual needs. Aiding lead teachers with tasks throughout the day. Communicating with other teachers and parents. QUALIFICATIONS: A passion for working with young children. Experience working with children under 3 preferred. Great at working as a team and with others. A friendly nature, patience, and love for children. Good organization and communication skills. Experience caring for young children. Montessori experience preferred. REQUIREMENTS: Hands-on infant, Child, and Adult CPR/First Aid certification is required within 30 days of hire. Must pass criminal a background check for state licensing requirements. Verification of Immunizations (MMR and tDap). Training courses for state licensing requirements within 30 and 90 days of hire. SALARY: Pay is DOE starting at $18.00/hour. About A Little Journey Montessori School: A Little Journey Montessori School is an early childhood educational program based on the Montessori method.
