The Opportunity:

As a CACI Training and Education Analyst directly supporting the Secretariat for Special Operations (SSO), Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense Special Operations/Low Intensity Conflict (OASD SO/LIC) you will provide embedded technical analysis and expertise in support of the civilian oversight of United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) and the execution of Title 10 responsibilities for SOF, including organizing, training, equipping, and resourcing. You will also provide support to the formulation of SOF policies, the analyses of SOF resources in the areas of personnel, training, readiness, Global Force Management, maritime, aviation, as well as for sensitive and compartmented programs. You will initiate technical and programmatic analysis, and short-, medium-, and long-range policy, planning, and strategy development support while pro-actively managing priority issue areas, preparing written products, and providing technical expertise in support of SSO officials in the performance of their statutory responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the oversight of U.S. SOF JCET deployments, staffing approval packages, and DoD policy instruction drafting.

  • Represent SOF-specific training requirements at Military Training Capabilities Group meetings; assists with Military Training Executive Steering Group charter.

  • Inform ASD(SO/LIC) of USSOCOM Realistic Military Training events and monitors JSOC personnel travel.

  • Draft and coordinate correspondence (action/information memorandums) for senior DoD leadership. Develop and coordinate policies and initiatives for strategic guidance documents and DoD issuances.

  • Develop and coordinate legislative language for SOF training initiatives with DoD and interagency stakeholders.

  • Assist in developing budgetary and programmatic guidance; supports strategic assessments of SOF programs (Education, LREC, JCET).

  • Coordinate revisions to DoD Instructions concerning relevant policies and procedures.

  • Maintain situational awareness of routine training events and overseas travel of key personnel.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Current Top Secret/Specialized Compartmented Information Security Clearance.

  • Bachelor's degree with a master's degree preferred and a minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience in force training and education analysis or planning. We will also consider candidates with 15+ years of directly relevant experience.

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in positions of responsibility within an operational or strategic level command or while supporting a DoD contract of similar size and scope.

  • Working knowledge of tools, methods, and concepts of portals and other real or near real time knowledge management systems.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Strong attention to detail.

Desired:

  • Master's Degree in a relevant field.

  • Experience supporting USSOCOM, Joint Staff, and/or OSD staff organizations.

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$84,900 - $178,400
