Location: 207th Street Overhaul Shop /Coney Island Overhaul Shop

Hours of work: Various - primarily 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM

This position on the NYC Transit payroll is competitive and is eligible for the 55-a Program. This position is open to qualified persons who are eligible for the 55-a Program. COMPENSATION

$56,586.00

RESPONSIBILITIES

This position will be responsible for the safety and training duties of the Overhaul Shops. The incumbent will assist in handling safety reports, training schedules, Injury On Duty reports, Union walk arounds and state compliance. The incumbent will also assist in monthly IOD report trends and analysis, absentee relief for Timekeeping, Peoplesoft data entry, and ad hoc projects as needed.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university.

DESIRED SKILLS

  • Excellent oral and written skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office suite (Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Utilizing NYCTA software programs (ATS, SPEAR, Hexagon, PeopleSoft)
  • Data retention (filing)

SELECTION METHOD

Based on evaluation of education, skills, experience, and interview. All appointments, with the exception of the Department of Subways employees on MABSTOA payroll, will be made on the NYCT payroll.
