Embark on a transformative journey as a Registered Nurse specializing in the Operating Room (OR) in North Adams, Massachusetts. This travel assignment invites you to combine advanced perioperative practice with the thrill of exploring a region famed for its natural beauty and cultural vibrancy. In the OR, your precision, leadership, and compassionate care directly shape patient outcomes—from preoperative optimization to meticulous instrument handling and safe emergence from anesthesia. Here, your skills will be tested and celebrated in equal measure, and your contributions will resonate across the hospital and the community you serve. Working here means you can immerse yourself in a community that values patient care and professional growth, while also enjoying easy access to broader New England landscapes. The location offers the best of both worlds: a tight-knit environment that supports your clinical leadership and the chance to explore Massachusetts’ cultural treasures, outdoor trails, rural charm, and nearby urban hubs. Your responsibilities will span the spectrum of perioperative care: performing accurate preoperative assessments, ensuring meticulous sterile technique, assisting with instrument counts and setup, scrubbing and circulating as needed, coordinating with anesthesia teams, and supporting smooth turnover between cases. You’ll monitor patient status through all phases of the procedure, advocate for rapid, accurate documentation in electronic health records, and contribute to postoperative handoffs that emphasize continuity of care. The role also offers pathways for professional growth within the OR specialty—whether pursuing certification like CNOR, expanding into advanced perioperative roles, or gaining exposure to diverse surgical subspecialties. This is a position designed to challenge your diagnostic acumen, refine your leadership in high-stakes situations, and expand your clinical impact across a busy OR schedule. This opportunity comes with competitive benefits designed to support you as you travel. You’ll find robust support for your travel and professional life, including comprehensive onboarding, a dedicated clinical liaison, and 24/7 assistance from a travel companion team as you move between assignments. You’ll have access to modern OR facilities and the latest equipment, along with structured opportunities for continuing education and skill enhancement—so you can stay at the forefront of surgical nursing practice while enjoying the experience of new settings and patient populations.
