Truck Driver - Roll off truck

We are seeking an experienced and professional Truck Driver to join our team. In this role, you will transport waste and recycling materials from one location to another. You will perform routine vehicle inspections and preventative maintenance. The ideal candidate has experience driving trucks and makes safety a number one priority.

JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB TITLE:                            Operator / Inspector / Driver

QUALIFICATIONS: 

·         High School Diploma or equivalent

·         Ability to deal effectively with public

·         Must be able to perform the duties of the job 

·         Ability to operate backhoe / wheel loader / roll off truck 

·         Ability to pass a drug and background check

·         Have and maintain a Commercial Driver’s License – Class B – with 5 years’ experience

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  Including but not limited to:

·         Works in Construction and Demolition Area meeting w/Public

·         Inspection of loads

·         Cross training on scale operations

·         Collection of Fees associated w/loads

·         Directs facility users to proper disposal area

·         Keeps Construction and Demolition Area clean and organized

·         Operates backhoe and wheel loader and drives Roll-Off truck

·         Knowledge of metal types to perform metal separation for recycling

·         Performs miscellaneous tasks for the maintenance of the transfer station & landfill 

·         May substitute in other areas/duties as needed

TRAINING RECEIVED:

·         On the job training under the supervision of an experienced attendant.

·         Obtain and maintain DEEP Transfer Station Operation Certificate 

SUPERVISION RECEIVED:

·         Reports to the Administrator or Assistant Administrator for Operations in charge in their absence 

WORK SCHEDULE:

·         This is a first shift 7 am – 3 pm, 40 hours per week position.  Saturdays are required
