Job Description

Dress the Population is a fashion-forward brand specializing in sophisticated, elegant dresses that empower women to feel confident, stylish, and comfortable. From evening gowns to cocktail dresses, we combine classic design with modern sensibilities to offer high-quality apparel for every occasion. Our e-commerce platform brings the latest trends directly to our customers with ease, and we’re looking for an enthusiastic UI/UX Intern to help enhance that experience. This is a paid internship with an hourly rate of $20 - $25 per hour.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with the design team to create intuitive, visually appealing, and user-friendly interfaces for our e-commerce platform, ensuring an outstanding online shopping experience for our customers.
  • Assist in designing wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups for web and mobile applications.
  • Contribute to user research initiatives such as surveys, usability testing, and competitor analysis to gather valuable insights for design improvements.
  • Help maintain and expand our design system, ensuring consistency in branding, interface elements, and user experience across all platforms.
  • Collaborate with the team to test prototypes and designs with real users, iterating on feedback to enhance usability and overall user satisfaction.
  • Work closely with product managers, developers, and marketing teams to align design solutions with business and technical goals.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a degree in UI/UX Design, Graphic Design, Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or a related field.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, or Adobe Creative Suite. Experience with wireframing, prototyping, and creating design systems is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail with a creative mindset, capable of developing designs that balance aesthetics and functionality.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present design ideas and decisions clearly.
