Union Driver Helper

Come join our Union team in Joliet as a Driver Helper.  Driver Helpers provide assistance to a driver as needed to insure a safe and efficient route.As a member of Teamsters Local 710 union, your health and welfare benefits will be provided through the union.401k is provided by the Company.Local routes, home daily!!! Flexible midnight - 2am start time!

Starting hourly rate $20.00

• Work closely with driver to provide a safe and cost-efficient service to the customer.
• Responsible for good customer relations.
• Comply with all D.O.T. rules and regulations if currently holding CDL license.
• Work flexible hours as needed to service the customers.
• Follow all safety rules and procedures.
• Stay current on all safety videos.
• Fully participate and support all safety initiatives.
• May require driving a truck.
• Think safety and continually scan the work environment; make suggestions for corrections and improvements.
• Other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Superb communication skills (written and verbal).
• Computer skills.
• Team player and multitasker.
• Valid US Drivers license.
• Good driving record.
• The ability to lift, push and pull up to at least 100 pounds. 
• Safety risk rating within Mahoney Environmental acceptable standards.
• Handling 2” and 3” hoses while pumping grease.
• Sitting 50% of the time.

• Work outdoors in different weather conditions.
• Exposure to used cooking oil odors.
• Handling grease coated equipment.
• Possible exposure to high traffic conditions and/or right driving areas.
