Job Description

Upholstery Specialist

  • Location: Lacey, WA
  • Job Type: [Full-Time/Part-Time/Contract] 
  • Pay: $45–$60/hour - based on experience

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Upholstery Specialist to design, build, and repair custom upholstery for restaurant furniture. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, experience working with durable materials suited for high-traffic environments, and a passion for creating functional yet stylish pieces that enhance dining spaces. 

Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Construct and install upholstery for restaurant seating, including chairs, booths, and banquettes. 
  • Select and work with fabrics, foams, and other materials that meet commercial durability standards. 
  • Repair or reupholster existing furniture to maintain quality and appearance. 
  • Collaborate with restaurant owners or designers to meet specific aesthetic and functional requirements. 
  • Ensure all work adheres to safety and quality standards. 

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in upholstery, preferably with commercial or restaurant furniture. 
  • Proficiency with tools and techniques for cutting, sewing, and assembling upholstery. 
  • Knowledge of fabrics and materials suitable for high-use settings (e.g., stain-resistant, easy-to-clean options). 
  • Ability to read and interpret design plans or sketches. 
  • Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship. 

Preferred Qualifications:  

  • Experience working with restaurant or hospitality clients. 
  • Portfolio showcasing previous upholstery projects.
  • Basic woodworking or furniture frame repair skills a plus.

  • Full Time Position
  • Pay: $45–$60/hour (depending on experience)
