ModMed is hiring a driven UX Designer to join our positive, passionate, and high-performing UX team. We're looking for a UX Designer with a diverse skill set who works to improve experiences for all users: end users, clients, the extended product and development teams, and stakeholders.

The UX Designer ensures usability, accessibility, and delight are integrated into these experiences while helping to negotiate timelines, identify value, and determine incremental improvements for our growing products. You'll support the entire software development lifecycle by partnering closely with the extended product teams to conceive, define, and understand requirements; identify use cases, suggest interactions and functionalities to support the goals of all the user groups listed above, and define success metrics that will help validate the final product before and after delivery to our end users. A strong portfolio demonstrating these skills is required.

Your Role:

  • Leads the design function for projects from ideation through validation
  • Leads the design of multiple concurrent projects
  • Ensures that accessibility is addressed in designs and experiences
  • Creates user flows, journey maps, mockups, and prototypes that effectively communicate design intent and feature functionality.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams such as product management, engineering, client success, and internal SMEs to define project requirements and create design solutions
  • Conducts user interviews and usability tests to inform design decisions
  • Effectively communicates design decisions through written and verbal means to all levels of stakeholders
  • Translates complex technical concepts into simple language
  • Contributes to Design Systems to streamline development processes
  • Uses a research repository to organize insights across personas, problems, and products
  • Defines and analyzes behavioral metrics to track user interactions and measure design success
  • Validates implemented features through user acceptance testing to ensure they meet design specifications and usability standards

Skills & Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Computer Interaction, User Experience Design, or equivalent work experience
  • 2-4 years of experience in designing software interfaces for both web and mobile devices
  • A relevant portfolio of work illustrating user-centered design solutions (e.g. personas, customer journey maps, wireframes, mockups, workflows, design specs, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of human-computer interaction principles
  • Strong understanding of accessibility standards and how to validate the guidelines
  • Proficiency in creating wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs using Figma
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience conducting user research, including writing effective recruitment scripts, moderating user interviews, and analyzing user data
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
  • Familiarity with using AI as a tool for better efficiency of time management
  • Seeking a candidate local to South Florida who is able to commit to a hybrid work environment (3x/week)
