Position Overview

The VP, Head of Corporate Security, based in the US, leads the global physical security strategy and operations. This role partners with business leaders to protect people, facilities, and information while supporting business continuity. Responsibilities include managing the Global Resilience & Security Operations Center (GRSOC), enforcing the Physical Security Policy, incident management, executive protection, access control and credentialing, monitoring threats via OSINT, training on emergency response standards, and ensuring service delivery through ServiceNow.

Responsibilities

Physical Security Leadership & Oversight

  • Lead the design and execution of physical security controls across all Oaktree offices, including access control, surveillance systems, and visitor management – in a strategic and tactical capacity
  • Oversee vendor relationships with security providers, liaise with law enforcement to build standards and deploy resources effectively
  • Conduct periodic audits and risk assessments to evaluate vulnerabilities and recommend improvements

Emergency Response & Preparedness

  • Develop, maintain, and standardize emergency response plans for all global offices
  • Lead training and awareness programs to educate employees on emergency procedures and threat recognition 
  • Serve as escalation point for major incidents requiring cross-regional coordination and maintain relationships with first responder agencies
  • Coordinate regular drills, tabletop exercises, and scenario-based training with Oaktree Leadership, HR, Workplace Services

Event Security, Countersurveillance and Executive Protection

  • Develop security plans and lead security efforts during high-profile Oaktree events
  • Create TSCM strategy and procure vendor resources to execute sweeps
  • Advise on executive protection protocols and procure vendor resources when necessary to assist with scenario-based EP needs

GRSOC Leadership

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership to the GRSOC team in Hyderabad, ensuring 24/7 monitoring and effective escalation of security incidents
  • Establish and oversee incident-response protocols for security threats and incidents
  • Provide support to Business Services colleagues responding to non-security incidents (natural disasters response, travel risk incidents, etc.)
  • Ensure administrative tasks are completed to inform broader OSINT collection, threat analysis, and reporting to relevant stakeholders

Policy Compliance & Physical Access Control System Administration

  • Ensure operational compliance with the Oaktree’s Physical Security Policy across all global sites.
  • Manage the global security access control system, including reporting, access audits, and system performance reviews.
  • Oversee issuance and deactivation of credentials, ensuring proper vetting and adherence to internal standards.

Reporting, Continuous Improvement & Collaboration

  • Establish performance metrics and regular reporting for security operations, threat trends, and incident response to Leadership
  • Conduct periodic reviews of security procedures and systems to ensure relevance, efficiency, and compliance
  • Partner with risk SMEs, Compliance, and Workplace Services to integrate security measures with broader risk-based initiatives at Oaktree
  • Provide direct oversight and establish SLAs for Physical Security service catalog items in ServiceNow
  • Continuously improve efficiency, user experience, and alignment with security standards

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressively responsible experience in corporate security, law enforcement, military, or intelligence, with at least 5 years in a management role
  • Proven experience managing a GSOC or large-scale security operations, preferably in a global financial services environment in 24/7 operating model
  • Strong knowledge of access control systems, OSINT tools, and incident response protocols
  • Experience developing and delivering security training programs to global and cross-cultural audiences
  • Experience managing security-related workflows in ServiceNow or similar IT service management platforms
  • Experience working with Convergint and/or Genea access control systems is a plus
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills under pressure

Base Salary Range

$145,000 - $175,000

In addition to a competitive base salary, you will be eligible to receive discretionary bonus incentives, a comprehensive benefits package and a flexible work arrangement.  The base salary offered will be commensurate with experience and/or qualifications, industry knowledge and expertise, as well as prior training and education.
