Job Description
M BOOTH HEALTH CAREERS
About Us:
We’re not your typical agency. In fact, we don’t want to be. At M Booth Health, we take pride in doing what’s right, not what’s easy. Asking the difficult questions and finding unexpected answers. Pushing ourselves and our clients to think bigger. Moving beyond imposed limits to break through and create real connection.
We live our brand promise: Choose to Challenge. We're built to help organizations and brands challenge norms, drive results and improve the health and lives of those who need it most.
We believe health communications can change the world. Why? Because we’ve done it before. We’ve been at the forefront of advancing some of the most urgent issues in public health and medicine for decades. Our teams are purpose-built to challenge the status quo and drive results–both for our clients and for the health and well-being of people around the world.
M Booth Health’s growth has allowed for the building of a dynamic team of agency veterans and new talent with a broad range of backgrounds to match our diverse client mix, including leaders in pharma, biotech, device & diagnostics, health tech and payors.
Who You Are:
We want people who are just as passionate about health as we are. People who are serious about the work, but not too serious to have some fun while doing it. Candidates who bring big thinking and even bigger ambition; who are willing to push boundaries and challenge norms. And most importantly, who leads with kindness and humanity above all else. Does that sound like you?
As Vice President, Strategy, you’ll be a senior strategic leader overseeing multidisciplinary work for complex health clients across pharma/biotech and public affairs. You will gather and interpret behavioral, conversation and trend research to develop strategies, insights and communication ideas. You are the catalyst who can generate action, create behavior-changing experiences and drive simplicity in the complex world of reaching healthcare audiences - from patients to doctors to healthcare policy makers and more.
We are looking for someone with a strong background in health communications; with a passion for research, planning and creative strategy building. This person is detail-oriented, a creative thinker and a problem solver who serves as a trusted advisor both internally and externally. You use curiosity, empathy and intellect to synthesize various sources of information to identify the most important problems that need to be solved and communicate insights in a way that inspires breakthrough creativity and meaningful impact.
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Lead Strategy Vision: Architect overarching communication strategies that drive cultural relevance, behavior change, and measurable outcomes for healthcare clients.
- Build Insight-Driven Narratives: Oversee qualitative and quantitative research, social listening, trend spotting, data analytics and audience segmentation to fuel bold strategic frameworks.
- Translate Strategy into Storytelling: Craft internal and client-facing briefs, articulating complex issues through compelling, actionable strategic narratives.
- Partner with Creative & Teams: Collaborate closely with creative, account, media, and analytics teams to ensure strategy leads execution.
- Measure Impact: Partner with analytics to define KPIs, assess program performance, and optimize strategies for maximum ROI.
- Drive New Business & Thought Leadership: Lead strategy for pitches; contribute to public-facing thought leadership, position papers, and agency-led events that reinforce M Booth Health’s strategic credentials.
- Cultivate Client Relationships: Serve as a trusted strategic advisor, presenting strategy, guiding mid- and executive-level clients through decisions, and maintaining high satisfaction.
- Champion Innovation: Implement agile approaches and emerging tools (e.g. AI-powered insight platforms), constantly exploring new ways to uncover and apply insight.
Experience
- 10+ years of experience in strategic planning, insight, or research roles within PR, advertising, healthcare or integrated communications agencies
- Deep expertise in healthcare, particularly pharma and biotech, with ability to translate scientific complexity into human‑centered strategy
- Experience developing and implementing effective strategies grounded in business, audience and cultural insights
- Proven ability to lead primary and secondary research, social listening, behavioral insight, and trend forecasting – and synthesize into impactful strategy
- Exceptional storytelling, presentation and client-facing counsel skills; skilled at influencing executive-level decision-making
- Track record in new business and strategic thought leadership contributions
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, with proven effectiveness driving complex multi-stakeholder planning processes
- Stellar communication, writing, and presentation skills
