The Logistics Manager is responsible for optimizing Creminelli’s freight and outside warehouse network including the cost base, provider base, transportation modes and outside warehouse locations. This position will be responsible for leading the company in providing inventory analysis, order fulfillment, and transportation management of LTL and FTL deliveries and shuttle trucks between various plants, operations and co-pack network. The shipping manager supervises and coordinates activities of workers responsible for picking product and preparing for same day shipping both nationally and internationally via expedited carrier services
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Determine work procedures, prepare work schedules, and expedite workflow.
- Assign duties and examine work for exactness, neatness and conformance to policies and procedures.
- Study and standardize procedures to improve efficiency of workers.
- Interview and hire new employees.
- Confer with other managers in the production center to ensure coordination of other warehouse activities.
- Confer with other managers outside of the distribution center to ensure coordination of other functions such as production, inventory management and quality assurance.
- Conduct annual performance reviews and provide continual feedback on both positive and negative performance.
- Contribute to the evaluation and development of operational strategy and performance in cooperation with the Operations Leadership Team.
- Determine Optimal Inventory (Days of Supply) levels across Product Categories.
- Work with planning/customer service on have ready dates, timing of deliveries, and potential service issues.
- Create scorecards and metrics, understanding the drivers of the measures, create improvement plans, as well as monitoring the results of action plans.
- Provide Support to Sales for creating cost effective transportation options to support new and existing customer accounts.
- Manage and maintain effective processes for freight quotes, booking, status reporting and performance reporting.
- Manage resolution of freight claims to ensure exposure is minimized and issues are resolved quickly.
- Manage Cold Storage solution and ensure that customer service and delivery is optimized, proper inventories are maintained and make recommendations for Lane and Route changes as the business needs change.
- Develop effective and efficient transportation transfer routes between co-packers, production, and distribution.
- Lead the implementation and development of appropriate Transportation Management platforms that optimize cost, service and operational efficiency.
- Oversee the Shipping/Receiving and Warehouse functions of the operation facilities.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in logistics or supply chain management.
$100,000 - $110,000 a year
