We work in a collaborative and consultative way with our customers to develop the ideal material solution to optimize mechanical properties and chemical composition to achieve the desired product performance. We are currently hiring a Warehouse Shipper/Receiver for our Manchester, NH facility.
JOB SUMMARY
The Warehouse Shipper/Receiver is responsible for maintaining all areas of the warehouse. This will involve a constant exchange of information with the shipping clerk and purchasing department.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Shipping & Receiving: Loading and unloading deliveries as needed. Accepting deliveries, and logging them into inventory.
- Inspecting: Checking for damaged packaging and verifying the accuracy of products. Reporting errors and/or damages to the relevant department.
- Storing: Organizing and retrieving stock (raw material, finished product and consumables), and storing it in an accessible manner.
- Packing and shipping: Pulling boxes as needed by the shipping clerk. Preparing outgoing pallets for delivery.
- Maintaining: Keeping the warehouse clean and tidy, and ensuring the safety of the work environment. Maintain minimum stock levels of raw material and consumables.
- Operating forklift and pallet jacks to move goods, and operating other warehouse equipment.
- Computer skills to include the use of E-mail, Excel, Word, Access and other web-based applications
- Daily: Loading & unloading raw materials into dryers each afternoon.
- Various other projects as needed
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- High School graduate or equivalent GED certification with 18 months related work experience, preferred.
- 2 years’ experience in a Manufacturing setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of machines and tools, including their design, uses, repair and maintenance.
- Strong attention to detail required.
- Basic Computer skills are required. Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook skills, preferred.
- Must be self-directed with good communication and interpersonal skills using tact and diplomacy.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and legibly complete time cards and work orders. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures and read blueprints and technical drawings, such as machine, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small groups situations to other employees of the organization. Ability to effective present information and respond to questions form groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra, geometry, fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variable in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic, flammable or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions; and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
