Warehouse Attendant

RESPONSIBILIES/DUTIES:  Employees must be able to perform the essential functions of the job.  The essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to the following:

• Performs all work in a safe manner and in accordance with all plant and departmental safety rules.
• Reports to Supervisor any safety hazard, near miss, safety violation or accident that may occur.
• Assists fellow employees to ensure that no one is exposed to risks of injury.
• Safely removes bags of trays from conveyor belt.
• Visually inspects bags for damaged/imperfect product and reports same to Supervisor or Distribution Coordinator.
• Completes appropriate paperwork to document scrap.
• Stacks tray bags in a prescribed manner according to tray pattern and color.
• Inspects bags to ensure that only one tracer ticket is included.
• Repairs broken or damaged bags.
• Maintains an accurate count of bags per stack.
• Maintains a clean and orderly work area.
• Performs other duties that correlate to the foregoing as directed by Supervisor or Distribution Coordinator.

SHIFT SCHEDULE:  1st shift position; 7:00am - 3:00pm.

EDUCATION/SPECIAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/TRAINING:

Education/Work Experience: High School Diploma or GED.  At least 2 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment.

Language Ability: Must have excellent communication skills

Math Ability: Proficient mathematical skills

Reasoning Ability: Ability to systematically work through problems, can work with deadlines individually or as part of a team

Computer Skills: None except Timeclock and Payroll/Benefits

Travel Requirements:  None

Other (including certifications and licenses):  Must have excellent attention to detail.
