Job Description
Key Activities/Responsibilities
- Enforce safety regulations.
- Direct and coordinate the activities of employees engaged in the inventory or inventory processing of goods, such as Expeditors, shipping/receiving coordinator, and forklift operators.
- Confer with other supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments
- Plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and inventory pulls to meet production goals
- Inspect materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions
- Conduct employee training in equipment operations or work and safety procedures
- Interpret specifications, blueprints, job orders, and company policies and procedures for workers
- Keep records of employees' attendance and hours worked
- Requisition materials, supplies, equipment parts, or repair services
- Read and analyze charts, work orders, production schedules, and other records and reports to determine production requirements and to evaluate current production estimates and outputs.
- Maintain Inventory data, such as part shortages, shipping records, receiving records, inventory transfers, bin locations, and picklist accuracy.
- Confer with management or subordinates to resolve worker problems, complaints, or grievances
- Develop specific stocking level & parts objectives with an emphasis on cost reduction, quality improvement, technology development, on time delivery, inventory reduction, lead-time reduction, and customer focus necessary to support the MRL business plan
- Maintain a neat and orderly work area complying with all 5S initiatives
- Perform other duties, assignments, and special projects as assigned
- Follow and comply with all safety and personal protective equipment requirements
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent with basic mechanical education
- 5+ Years related job experience
- Ability to understand Blue Prints
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
