Warehouse Operator - Shipper

About the RoleAs a Warehouse Operator – Shipper at Zekelman Industries, Wheatland Tube division, located in Cambridge, OH, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate, efficient, and safe warehouse operations. What You’ll Do

• Champion safe work practices in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

• Prepare materials, products, and equipment for distribution and shipment.

• Process and fulfill orders for customers and internal teams.

• Pick, pack, and stage orders while verifying accuracy using scanning tools.

• Load shipments onto flatbed trucks or LTL carriers to support outbound logistics.

• Receive, inspect, and process incoming materials, reporting any damages.

• Replenish warehouse stock and rotate inventory using a reach truck or forklift.

• Operate forklifts, order pickers, reach trucks, and walkie rider pallet jacks to move materials efficiently.

• Standardize and optimize shipping and receiving procedures for accuracy and efficiency.

• Perform additional duties as assigned to support warehouse operations.

Who You Are

• 2 years of warehouse experience, preferably in steel or tubing, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.

• Basic math skills for accurate order processing.

• Strong communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

• Problem-solving ability to address warehouse challenges effectively.

• High attention to detail to ensure order accuracy and uphold quality standards.

Physical Abilities

• Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50 lbs.

• Ability to stand, walk, and perform manual tasks for extended periods.

• Ability to operate warehouse equipment safely and effectively.

Below is the expected base hourly range for this position. This is a good-faith estimate, and offers will be determined based on experience, education, skill set, and interview performance.

Base Hourly Range: $17.00–$28.00 USD
