Job Title:   Warehouse Supervisor- Offsite                         Openings:  1

Shift: First (1)                                          Hourly/salary: Salaried

SUMMARY: Plans layout of warehouse and other storage areas, considering turnover, size, weight and related factors of items stored. Supervise group of workers engaged in lifting, transporting and loading materials for shipment and storage, while promoting the most efficient and economical use of space for storing and distributing raw material and finished goods. Efficiently and accurately supplies materials to production to support the production schedule. Oversees the processing, packaging and storage of supplies, materials and equipment. Determines work procedures, prepares schedules and expedites workflow.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Supervises all warehouse activities, which includes processing, packaging and storage of supplies, materials and equipment.

· Regularly cascading and/or communicating site targets and goals from plant leadership to shift employees on a consistent and accurate basis.

· Oversee receipt, storage, and shipment of materials, and related reporting in accordance with established procedures.

· Prepared and coordinate schedules for shipping and receiving materials to control the flow of goods and regulate warehouse space.

· Support the plant with accurate inventory balances through plant cycle-count programs.

· Play a significant role in developing maintenance solutions to drive department improvements.

· Coordinate and/or deliver required training to ensure that all warehouse employees have the necessary skills to perform their jobs properly and safely.

· Accountable for the compliance of the company’s delivery and customer service metrics, including the tracking and reporting of shipping and receiving data, keeping shipping costs under control, explaining any variances and establishing actions plans for correct issues.

· Serve as a backup in the absence of the Logistics Manager.

· Balance the time needed to drive beneficial change in the department/facility while performing the core management duties and satisfying regulatory requirements.

· Manage pallet accounts and any corrective actions necessary

· Manage delivery of goods, Incoming goods inspection, receipt, declaration of goods, correct storage (quarantine stocks)

· Participate with quality as a member of the product recall team.

· Provide warehouse leadership in SQF, FDA and customer audits.

· Identify, set-up and manage stocks at external warehouse location(s).

· Organization and execution of special loadings including scheduling of trucks

· Assurance of delivery reliability and punctuality of deliveries (on time delivery)

· Increase of flexibility in cases of delivery failures etc.

· Manage error reporting system

· Block and unblock of goods and incoming goods regarding QS-specifications

· Management and organization of return freights, empty containers and exchange bundles

· Coordination and monitoring of shelf life (FEFO) and prepare weekly reports.

· Create delivery notes, packing list, pallet notes and special accompanying documents

· Monitoring of external stocks FEFO incl. inventory management

· Monitoring, labelling and storing of returns from production

· Design pallet patterns to minimize damage and maximize shipping and storage efficiency.

· Customs processing regarding raw, auxiliary and operating materials

· Monitor and check maintenance of industrial trucks in warehouse area

· Maintain cleanliness in warehouse area including outside areas

· Responsible to report food safety and quality concerns to Supervision, Quality or Senior Management. Support the SQF system through adherence to plant policies and procedures.

Other Requirements: 

· 3 – 5 years’ experience in manufacturing environment, including significant warehousing experience.

· Applicant must be a committed team worker with a strong sense of responsibility and excellent attention to detail.

· Experience in supervising, coaching, and developing staff.

Professional Qualifications and Experience Required:

· Applicant must be a committed team worker with a strong sense of responsibility and excellent attention to detail.

· Experience in supervising, coaching, and developing staff. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a managerial/supervisory capacity in a manufacturing environment required.

· Minimum of 5 years of experience in Maintenance in a manufacturing plant required. Food manufacturing preferred.

· Any equivalent combination of related education and/or experience may be considered for the above.

· Must be available to travel throughout the United States and overseas.

· Valid driver’s license is required
