• 2:30pm We are hiring a Welder for a local manufacturing company located in Humboldt, IA. This position works independently and as part of a team to successfully weld steel tanks according to job orders. The ideal candidate should be reliable and have prior MIG stainless steel welding experience. The Welder position will work Monday-Friday, 6am-2:30pm and pays $19+/hr. depending on experience. This is a great temp-to-hire opportunity with an established company! Responsibilities: Weld stainless steel tanks and assemblies with MIG welding equipment Weld along vertical and overhead weld lines Follow work orders, tank sketches and blueprints Position parts in jigs or fixtures and clamp along layout marks Select welder settings according to welding chart specifications Examine weld for bead size and other specifications Repair broken or cracked metal objects, fills holes and builds up metal parts Clean and degrease parts Chip or grind off excess weld, slag or splatter Completes quality control and regulatory paperwork as needed Maintain welding equipment in good working order Keep work area clean and free of debris Requirements: 2 years of 300 series stainless steel welding experience, preferably in the 12-gauge thickness range, is preferred Ability to use and accurately read a tape measure Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently Must have good math skills Our job is to get YOU hired (and it's free!)
