Welder II/Fabricator with Automated Sub Arc Welding Experience

Job Summary:We are seeking a skilled Welder II/Fabricator to join our team at G.W. Becker, Inc. (GWBI). The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating raw materials and components to create assemblies and crane parts.Key Responsibilities:* Read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols* Weld metal components in various positions* Lay out, position, and secure parts and assemblies* Finish surfaces of material products and re-touch welds* Examine finished work pieces for quality and defects* Operate hand and power tools, including welding equipment* Handle materials using forklifts and overhead cranes* Maintain a clean and safe work areaRequirements:* High school diploma or equivalent* 2-5 years of related experience or training* 3G and 4G FCAW welding certificate* Valid driver's license and safe driving record* Prior overhead crane experience preferred* Strong understanding of welding equipment and accessories* Flux Core Experience* Automated Sub Arc WeldingPhysical Demands:* Frequently stand, walk, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel* Occasionally sit, climb, or balance* Lift and move up to 100 pounds occasionally, 50 pounds regularly, and 25 pounds frequentlyWhat We Offer:* Competitive base pay* PTO and 7 paid holidays* Contributory medical, voluntary dental and vision insurance* 401K retirement plan with up to 4% match* Company paid life insurance and boot reimbursement* Uniform rental program and referral programHow to Apply:If you are a motivated and skilled welder with a strong work ethic, please visit our website to apply.
