Job Description

X-Ray/ CT Tech Full time

Clark Fork Valley Hospital is seeking a qualified and compassionate X-Ray/CT Technologist to join our Imaging Department. The ideal candidate will perform diagnostic imaging procedures, including general radiography and CT scans, in both routine and trauma settings. This role supports physicians in diagnosing patient conditions and contributes to delivering high-quality patient care in a rural critical access hospital setting.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform high-quality diagnostic Radiographic, CT, and CTA imaging exams, including in trauma situations.

  • Explain procedures to patients clearly to reduce anxiety and ensure cooperation.

  • Apply proper radiation safety protocols to protect patients, staff, and self.

  • Collaborate with the Imaging Manager and IT staff to troubleshoot and maintain efficient image transfer, archival, and report distribution systems.

  • Participate in process improvement initiatives in coordination with the Imaging Manager, Medical Director, and hospital administration.

  • Take part in a rotational call schedule to provide after-hours imaging coverage as needed.

  • Accurately complete all required documentation related to imaging exams, including consent forms, logs, requisitions, and screening questionnaires.

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and well-stocked work environment.

  • Follow all hospital policies and procedures, as well as the ARRT Code of Ethics and best practices for imaging professionals.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, the candidate must meet the following requirements:

Education and Experience

  • Associate’s degree from an accredited Radiologic Technology program or equivalent.

  • ARRT certification in Radiography (R) required; CT certification (CT) preferred or willingness to obtain.

  • Montana Radiologic Technologist license (or eligibility) required.

  • Six months to one year of related experience preferred, but new grads are encouraged to apply.

  • BLS certification required (or ability to obtain upon hire).

    Schedule-Day Shift 36-40 hrs. /week        Benefits- This position is eligible for the full time benefit package
