THE WORK In this role, you will utilize your exceptional skills in Unreal Engine (UE) interactive development (UI systems, Blueprints, coding) and interface design to complete tasking such as: Interactive Design Development using your strong understanding of Variant Manager and enums Design and programming of Blueprints, understanding the majority of Blueprint nodes, and at very least what each node does; Creation of Blueprint Macros Rigging inside of UE and deep understanding of control rigs Metahuman rigging and clothing design from scratch Set-up of Static Meshes and Skeletal Meshes and determination of best use-cases Application of expertise with level sequencer and creation of animations that can later be played back on button clicks Interface Design Utilization of strong widget design experience with extensive understanding of UE presets inside widget designer and activation of widgets in Blueprints to run inside of an interactive Expert development of common user interface and common widget design Creation of drop-down menus, scrolling menus, and other special effect buttons Modeling and Texturing Creation of photorealistic 3D models of advanced technology products using creativity to bring them to life in engaging animations and interactives. 3D modeling, texture mapping, model cleanup/retopology, UV map creation, animation/rigging, and creation of assets for Unreal. THE WORK

In this role, you will utilize your exceptional skills in Unreal Engine (UE) interactive development (UI systems, Blueprints, coding) and interface design to complete tasking such as:

Interactive Design

  • Development using your strong understanding of Variant Manager and enums
  • Design and programming of Blueprints, understanding the majority of Blueprint nodes, and at very least what each node does; Creation of Blueprint Macros
  • Rigging inside of UE and deep understanding of control rigs
  • Metahuman rigging and clothing design from scratch
  • Set-up of Static Meshes and Skeletal Meshes and determination of best use-cases
  • Application of expertise with level sequencer and creation of animations that can later be played back on button clicks

Interface Design

  • Utilization of strong widget design experience with extensive understanding of UE presets inside widget designer and activation of widgets in Blueprints to run inside of an interactive
  • Expert development of common user interface and common widget design
  • Creation of drop-down menus, scrolling menus, and other special effect buttons

Modeling and Texturing

  • Creation of photorealistic 3D models of advanced technology products using creativity to bring them to life in engaging animations and interactives. 3D modeling, texture mapping, model cleanup/retopology, UV map creation, animation/rigging, and creation of assets for Unreal.

You will collaborate with a diverse team of technical professionals including 3D generalists, Unreal Engine architects, other visual communications professionals, program communicators and staff on key programs both within Rotary and Mission Systems and across the Lockheed Martin portfolio.

As a skilled Unreal Engine Interactive Pro, you possess a unique blend of technical, creative, and analytical skills, allowing you to balance artistic vision with technical feasibility. You are a reliable team-player using top-notch communication skills for effective collaboration. You mentor and guide junior team members in Unreal Engine development best practices. You possess senior-level expertise in the field and are looking for long-term stability and career growth in a top-tier defense contractor. You are passionate about immersive technologies and are excited to contribute to the development of innovative interactive experiences that demonstrate Lockheed Martin's portfolio of products to a worldwide audience.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Expert in Unreal Engine interactive and interface development.
  • Knowledge and proficiency with 3D Studio Max / Maya / Blender, Substance Design Suite, Adobe Creative Suite (specifically Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere).
  • Experience with version control systems.
  • Ability to develop models from engineering CAD for real-time applications.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 5 years of professional experience; or 3 years of professional experience with a related Master's degree. Considered career, or journey, level.

Desired Skills:

  • Department of Defense (DoD) experience and an understanding of DoD programs and priorities is preferred. Aerospace / automotive industry experience.
  • Experience with other game/interactive platforms such as Unity, Ceros and/or SketchFab.
  • Knowledge of programming languages and visual scripting, such as C#, Java, or Python.
  • Experience with virtual reality (VR) or augmented reality (AR) development.
  • Digital compositing and sound design experience a bonus.
  • Certification in Unreal Engine development, such as the Unreal Engine Certified Developer program.

Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed.
