Farmer Focus is seeking a dynamic Plant Manager. Primary responsibility is to provide leadership and direction in production operations to ensure timely and cost efficient of Farmer Focus organic chicken. The Plant Manager will have day-to-day supervision of the management team to achieve required production and quality standards in a safe manner and for supporting and sustaining positive working relationships with the production group.

Essential Functions

• Established, measures and is accountable for operating and capital budgets for the operation in a manner to enable the operation to maintain a competitive position in the industry.

• Meets all facility operational plans, to ensure yield, birds per man hour, pounds per man hour, and line efficiency requirements are met.

• Ensures processes are in place to continuously reduce turnover.

• Ensures processes are in place to continually provide training to improve supervisory skills of staff and improve the skill set of the hourly production team members to maximize the results of individual and team efforts.

• Constantly develops new ideas and methods to improve operational performance and improve quality and customer reliability.

What you bring to this role

• B.S. in Business, Ag-business, or related curriculum

• 5+ years' experience in related work experience

• Proven leadership, including people development and project management

• Be able to communicate to all levels of the organization; possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

• Excellent written and oral communication skills

• Proven record of developing and maintaining successful working relationships and serving as a liaison related to all food safety and quality matters.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: The Plant Manager will be required to access the production environment. Must be able to tolerate the varying heat, wet, and chill of the plant. Hearing and eye protective equipment required in the production area. Required to wear hair and beard nets in the production area.
