Job Description
SUMMARY:
To solicit and secure effective specifications from a list of target accounts in the professional design community. Promote products to a variety of decision-makers, such as architects, designers, homebuilders, kitchen dealers and corporate specifiers. Develops relationships within the architectural and design community that broadens corporate understanding of the needs and direction of the industry that allows for continued market penetration.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and maintain contacts within each targeted account as outlined above.
- Develops relationships with each target customer contacts and act as a liaison between the field sales team, and corporate teams to drive specifications, help coordinate marketing activities, resolve conflict, and identify opportunities that influence the success of Wurth Louis and Company.
- Identify specifications, either proposed or written, within market area and solicit and secure same.
- Actively provide specifiers with up-to-date samples and literature and provide specific requests for materials and information on a timely basis.
- Provides product and application information pertinent to individual accounts.
- Interacts with regional sales director, regional sales managers, sales representatives, and supplier personnel to maximize results.
- Links designers and planners to industry fabricators where appropriate and creates opportunities for exclusive specifications.
- Provides feedback to internal customers regarding the surfacing needs of the design community.
- Participates in industry related associations.
- Performs other tasks as required.
Qualifications:
- Thorough understanding of the Specification and Project Tracking Process.
- Familiarity with Distribution Sales channel.
- Clearly able to communicate, lead, and sponsor profitable specification growth through market channels on a consistent basis.
- Excellent communication skills (oral, written, and presentation).
- Proven ability to build strong relationships.
- Familiarity with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.
- Utilization of Salesforce as a Customer Relationship Management tool.
- Bachelor's degree or minimum 4 years commensurate experience.
- One year of field selling experience preferred.
- Must maintain a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
- Overnight travel may be required.

Physical Requirements:
This work requires the following physical activities: climbing, bending, stooping, kneeling, twisting, reaching, sitting, standing, walking, and lifting up to 25 lbs. of material, finger dexterity for activities such as data entry and calculator use, grasping, repetitive motions, speaking, hearing, visual acuity, and mobility between locations. Use of both hands is required.
