Job Description

Job Purpose:

The Account Manager develops sales and business opportunities through company strategies, customer relationships, and project development.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain existing customer relationships
  • Develop and foster new customer relationships
  • Present company capabilities and project solutions to potential customers
  • Work with customer to develop accurate scope of work that meets the customer's expectations and goals
  • Produce accurate quotes and proposals based on defined scope
  • Ensure accurate vendor pricing and estimating costs
  • Follow up through the sales process to continue development and bring projects to close.
  • Effectively work with co-workers to ensure seamless project hand-offs
  • Ensure the financial and technical success of projects
  • Concentrate on the growth of the business while maintaining productivity and profitability
  • Maintain professional competency through continuing education and personal experience
  • Maintain a professional, safe, healthy, and ethical business environment for others
  • Travel required

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

  • Knowledge of the practical application and design of industrial control systems
  • Knowledge of pneumatic conveying, extrusion, drying, PVC compounding, weighing, and batching, continuous processes etc.
  • Knowledge of codes, requirements, safety procedures and related construction processes
  • Fluent use of MS Word; Excel; PowerPoint; Outlook, Adobe Acrobat
  • Effective negotiation skills
  • Well-developed and effective communication skills

Required Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in a technical sales position (minimum of 3 years, 5 years preferred)
  • Bachelor's degree in a business or engineering discipline
