POSITION SUMMARY
We are currently seeking a Shipping & Receiving Clerk/Coordinator, to support our Shipping & Receiving team. This position plays a critical role in ensuring accurate documentation and administrative support for shipping, receiving, and inventory processes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing work order transactions, validating purchase orders and MRO requisitions, and assisting in day-today logistics and material control.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Accurately process and record all work order transactions in the ERP system.
- Monitor work order status and update production and logistics teams on material movement.
- Ensure proper documentation is attached to each work order (certifications, packing slips, etc.).
- Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and MRO requisitions for accuracy and completeness.
- Validate vendor invoices against purchase orders for accuracy before submitting to accounting.
- Collaborate with procurement and warehouse teams to resolve discrepancies.
- Assist with preparation of shipping documents (BOLs, packing lists, international shipping documents).
- Maintain and update shipping and receiving logs.
- Support internal audits and compliance documentation related to material handling.
- Perform data entry, filing, and document scanning related to inventory and logistics.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCES
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree or vocational training preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or logistics environment; aerospace industry experience highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of work order and purchase order processes.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Jobscope, or equivalent).
- Familiarity with aerospace quality standards.
- Experience with inventory control and warehouse management practices.
- Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Outlook.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
- Noise levels ranging from quiet to extremely loud
- Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when working on the manufacturing floor including, but not limited to, eye, ear, and foot protection
- May occasionally lift and /or move up to 10-50 pounds
