Job Description
Job Summary:
The Assistant Manager of Crossings is responsible for ensuring an outstanding guest experience. This role requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with guests, supervisors, and team members. The Assistant Manager will oversee operations in the Crossings Cafe, Mian, and Slice.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Will supervise Crossings Cafe, Mian and Slice team of supervisors, servers, hosts and bussers.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Foster strong relationships with team members and mentor others to do the same.
- Oversee the ongoing training of all team members, ensuring follow-up sessions are conducted regularly.
- Hold periodic meetings with team members to communicate expectations and discuss any issues or concerns.
- Ensure all guests are treated in a prompt, professional, and courteous manner with excellence of service using steps of service
- Set a high standard by being cooperative, helpful, and friendly, while maintaining a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance.
- Actively promote the Casino through positive attitudes and guest interactions.
- Ensure proper staffing for forecasted volume and budgetary guidelines.
- Monitor inventories and report any discrepancies to the Manager and/or Director of Food & Beverage.
- Maintain high sanitation and safety standards within the department while ensuring adherence to all policies and procedures.
- Communicate any operational problems or concerns to the Manager/Director and collaborate with other departments as needed.
- Understand that this role requires flexibility and may require being accessible at all times, as this is a 24-hour responsibility.
- All other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years as supervisor or above of a full service restaurant.
- A strategic thinker and creative problem solver who takes the initiative and ownership
- Self-starter with a creative mind and a track record of putting ideas into practice and assessing results
Certifications, Licenses, and/or Registrations:
- Gaming license/registration as required by jurisdiction(s).
- Ability to obtain a Food Manager's Certificate.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and project management skills, with particular attention to quality and detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrates the ability to establish credibility and rapport with operating leaders.
- Ability to analyze data, understand trends, and develop recommendations for action based on the analysis.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to work while standing for hours at a time.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Ability to work flexible shifts and days of the week, including holidays.
- Ability to work in an environment with moderate to loud noise, bright lights, smoke, and dust.
