Job Description

Position Summary

The Apprenticeship Employer Hub Director is responsible for supporting a regional initiative to expand, coordinate, and sustain registered apprenticeship and pre-apprenticeship pathways for education careers. The Director will serve as a strategic connector between school districts, early learning providers, and workforce development partners. The goal is to build a robust talent pipeline that meets the staffing needs of the education sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of a centralized Apprenticeship Employer Hub focused on education-sector apprenticeships.
  • Build and maintain relationships with school districts, early childhood centers, charter networks, and other education employers.
  • Provide technical assistance to employers in designing or registering apprenticeship programs in compliance with U.S. Department of Labor and state requirements.
  • Support career pathways from pre-apprenticeship through full teacher licensure, ensuring academic articulation and wraparound support services.
  • Educate employers and potential candidates about the benefits of apprenticeship models and help them build internal capacity to support apprentices.
  • Track key outcomes such as apprentice enrollment, completion, DOL competencies and employment placement with the use of the Craft Platform
  • Support candidate and employer matches to move into apprenticeship
  • Connect with the Director of Clinical Experiences to support mentor teachers working with apprenticeships

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in education
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in education, workforce development, talent pipeline management, or related field.
  • Experience working with or within school districts, early learning providers, or postsecondary teacher preparation programs.
  • Strong interpersonal and facilitation skills; ability to work across sectors and with diverse populations.
  • Knowledge of educator certification requirements and pathways, particularly for paraprofessionals and early educators.
