Job Description
Engineer Senior
Location: Ideal candidates will be able to report to our Pulse Point location at 5800 Northampton Blvd., Norfolk, VA 23502.
Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
The Engineer Senior is responsible for delivery of end to end application, system development and maintenance on complex multi technology platforms within assigned client group, business unit or corporate department and utilizing various customer technology platforms.
How you will make an impact:
- Maintain active relationships with customers to determine business requirements.
- Analyze and evaluate detailed business and technical requirements.
- Develop and perform system testing and fixes defects identified during testing and re-execute unit tests to validate results.
- Aid in integrating activities with other IT departments for successful implementation and support of project efforts.
- Provide on-call support, monitor the system, and identify system deficiencies.
- Work with Systems Analysts and Business Analysts to analyze business requirements, specifications and translate the requirements into complex reports.
- Develop and execute SQL queries for exploring and profiling of source data.
- Manage and coordinate all developer activities for the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) process to ensure successful implementation.
- Perform and complete technical design and code reviews.
- Complete required unit testing to meet test plan requirements and implements according to the planned objectives.
- Manage report subscription creation and maintenance.
- Use Visual Studio 2019 to develop SSRS and SSIS packages that meet the business requirements.
- Develop REST API services that can be consumed by other applications.
- Develop and support Angular Web API applications for use throughout the organization.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field of study.
- Five (5) years of experience in related occupation(s).
- Five (5) years of experience must include:
- Five (5) years of experience with the following: C#, ASP.Net, XML, SQL, SSIS, SSRS, VBScript, and MVC.
- Five (5) years of experience with Visual Studio, Query Analyzer and SVN tools.
- Five (5) years of experience with MS SQL Server 2012 or higher databases.
- Five (5) years of experience with JavaScript or JQuery.
- One (1) year of experience with Tidal job scheduler.
- One (1) year of experience with Oracle 10g and 9i databases.
