Measurement Foreman

Position Summary

The Measurement Foreman is responsible for managing a team that ensures the effective and economic installation, operation, maintenance, measurement integrity, and regulatory compliance of oil and gas meters, measurement systems, and measurement devices. This position will be based in one of our district office locations. The schedule for this position is Monday-Friday with every other Friday off (9/80). Level and salary commensurate with experience.

Essential Job Functions

  • Implement safe work practices and participate in and promote a proactive safety culture while ensuring safety for the employee, the public, and the environment at all times
  • Supervise and support a team of company and contract Measurement Technicians and Analysts including functions of time management, scheduling, setting and reviewing project and annual goals, providing virtual and in-field technical assistance, along with other various personnel roles and responsibilities
  • Oversee all aspects of oil and gas measurement on new installations, new facilities and construction including advising the Facilities team during the design phase, consulting with the Environmental and Regulatory teams on applicable state and federal regulatory compliance, and working alongside Mechanical, Instrumentation, Electrical, Operations, SCADA and Programming to ensure effective and reliable meter operation and reporting
  • Manage multiple meter databases, measurement related projects, compliance schedules, tank strapping tables, safety programs and initiatives
  • Ensure safe, effective, and efficient use of contract resources and personnel including meeting with vendors about new products and services, reviewing contractor schedules, routes, costs and invoices, and scheduling safety meetings, summits, and contractor orientations
  • Innovate and implement new technologies and programs that aid in maintaining measurement standards and improving efficiency
  • Develop and maintain company measurement policies, procedures, and standards including coordinating and implementing various training programs
  • Assist with configuration of measurement system and implementation of FlowCal software
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 5+ years related experience
  • Ability to set expectations, coach, mentor, and develop a team to enhance implementation and cost efficiencies
  • Demonstrate influence and leadership skills
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
  • Must be at least 21 years old for company motor vehicle insurance
  • Ability to manage time wisely, set, and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and fluid environment; flexible with the demands of a growing company
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office applications
  • Aptitude to learn, research, and use a variety of software packages
  • Strong communication skills and ability to influence others
  • Ability to share knowledge and effectively foster growth
  • Strong familiarity with industry safety requirements and practices
  • Ability to commute to various district offices and field locations
  • Must have a hands-on approach and strong work ethic
  • Ability to provide solutions quickly and accurately even in stressful situations
  • Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: Able to handle exposure to noise, extreme weather conditions, and areas where hazardous chemicals are present. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, climb stairs, kneel, stoop, sit, walk extensively. Ability to successfully complete a post-offer/pre-employment drug screen, background check, physical, functional capacity examination, and to be able to meet all physical requirements of the job.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Understand Piping and Instrument Diagrams and/or Process Flow Diagrams
  • Experience with SCADA systems and Quorum products including TESTit, PROVEit, CALCit, and FlowCal
  • Experience with oil and gas flow measurement devices including ABB Totalflow, Emerson, Fisher, FloBoss, ROC, Rosemount, Fox Thermal, NUFLO Scanner, and Micro Motion Coriolis
  • Experience balance reporting and troubleshooting
  • 2+ years of leadership or supervisor experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
