Are you looking for a high-profile product leadership role that allows you to shape and drive technical teams that are at the forefront of biopharmaceutical technology? If so, this Regional Technical Head role could be an exciting opportunity to explore.
As a Regional Technical Head, you will be responsible for the End-to-End Innovation execution leadership for the regional portfolio, delivering on time launches with technical mastery (cost, manufacturing performance, capacity, service, lead time, product quality, robustness and sustainability).
This role will provide/gives YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career. These responsibilities include some of the following:
- End to End Innovation execution leadership for the regional portfolio, delivering on time launches with technical mastery (cost, manufacturing performance, capacity, service, lead time, product quality, robustness and sustainability).
- Lead QSC voice to Regional R&D and Commercial Teams, influencing Portfolio Management Board and other decision-making forums driving efficient launch, scale, reduced complexity and cost to drive stronger top and bottom line.
- Leadership of Contract Manufacturing Technical Team with accountability for all technical and product activities for external sites, including technical transfers, scoping and due diligence, produce/ process/ packaging issue resolution, continuous improvement and value engineering.
- Matrix leadership of Internal Site Technical Teams ensuring manufacturing process performance, strong savings pipeline, low waste and process robustness. Continually driving Best-in-Class manufacturing processes through learnings from external benchmarking in collaboration with Global Technical Teams keeping abreast of, and executing, latest technology advancements.
- Leadership and accountability for the technical robustness and efficient lifecycle management of products within region, managing a portfolio of projects to drive synergy and efficient execution on a broad range of products/projects.
- Building and maintaining technical expertise across a range of products, doseforms and regulatory classifications. North America has more than 300 formulations across medicinal, medical devices, cosmetics and dietary supplements.
- Accountable for the product and packaging sustainability, simplification, premiumization and savings goals delivery. Collaborate with R&D and benchmark to ensure packaging and technology is a competitive advantage, driving top and bottom line.
- Trusted ingredients, plastic and recyclable packaging project execution, ensuring consistently up to date knowledge of changing regulatory frameworks, in collaboration with Global Technical, to ensure compliance.
- Direct leadership of a team ~35 people and matrix leadership of more than 80 site technical functions, member of the Regional QSC Leadership Team, Global Technical Function and Global Innovation Function.
- Leads value engineering within N. America, ensuring execution of projects against plan and maintaining a healthy pipeline of savings opportunities is delivered.
- Represents Technical in region for the long-term product and process strategy as network and sourcing strategy for the region is decided, incorporating best in class manufacturing science and technology.

Basic Qualifications:
We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
Bachelor's degree in science or engineering
Significant Industrial experience in FMCG or pharmaceutical manufacturing
Experience in product and process development and technology transfer.
Proven capability managing a highly complex and dynamic environment of priorities.
Experience leading the ideation and execution of a portfolio of projects (ideally innovation and savings).
Experience in influencing cross functional leadership team across multiple manufacturing, development and supporting disciplines (eg Quality, Digital and Data, R&D, finance, HR)
Coaching and development of others.
Strategy development and execution and financial/ business acumen.
Experience delivering across multiple priorities across a balanced scorecard (Eg growth, cost, cash, stewardship).
Preferred Qualifications:
If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:
Master's degree or PhD
Excellent project and process management skills within a complex matrix.
Ability to operate in detail and scientifically without losing sight of commercial and business drivers.
In-depth knowledge of GMP and Regulatory requirements, including Health Authority submission.
Ability to drive compliance and efficiency
