Job Summary
The Off-Site Marketing Operations Manager will be responsible for driving lead generation and direct package sales at regional fairs, festivals and events. The role will also be responsible for developing partnerships with various companies, teams, and venues who have an audience that fits the timeshare buyer prospect of Massanutten Resort. This role will manage the overall process for selecting the events to attend as well as executing on all the operational and travel logistics required with each event. Additionally, the role will be directly responsible for the relationship building required to acquire and develop new partnerships/partner outlets.
This position is responsible for all results related to off-site events including staffing, training, and budgeted booking production. The Off-Site Sales Manager will produce daily and weekly reports that detail production by agent, by location/event, as well as provide recommendations for improvement should performance drop below standards will be held accountable for delivering tour flow at the budgeted cost per tour goals.
Applicants for the Off-Site Sales Manager should have expertise in direct face-to-face sales and customer service/care. They will collaborate closely with the call center team within the Timeshare Marketing Division to ensure the leads generated and packages sold meet the standards required for proper conversion to tour.
This role can be based out of one of our offices in either Charlottesville, Harrisonburg, Virginia Beach, or Massanutten Resort.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Direct Sales and Lead Generation & Execution
- Maximize all customer interactions at regional off-site events, fairs, and festivals to drive lead generation and vacation certificate sales.

Ensure proper staffing levels are in place to have all respective locations fully staffed and hitting production goals.

Motivate and foster growth from sales associates through consistent training, performance management, and daily expectation setting.

Negotiate and secure partnership agreements with appropriate off-site partners, teams or venues to ultimate create new avenues to drive lead generation and package sales
Vendor & Team Collaboration
- Collaborate closely with other management in the Timeshare Marketing Group to align daily deliverables, and overall marketing strategy.
- Engage with the broader company marketing team to actively contribute to Resort and Active Adult Marketing discussions.
- Foster brand synergy between Timeshare Marketing and other resort brands to ensure a cohesive message across all marketing channels.
- When appropriate, act as the liaison between the marketing team and contracted third-party vendors, ensuring a seamless handoff between marketing and sales efforts.
Data-Driven Insights & Reporting
- Regularly analyze sales conversion and lead generation data for each individual event, location, and partnership.

Provide weekly reports to management on sales effectiveness by location, channel, and sales associate.

Monitor key metrics such as staffing effectiveness, cost per customer acquisition, cost per lead, and overall conversion rates across all on-site marketing locations.

Present results and recommendations to Director of Timeshare Marketing to enhance future campaigns.
Continuous Improvement

Continuously monitor the effectiveness of sales strategies and lead generation efforts, to suggest improvements that increase conversion and acquisition rates.

Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and best practices to ensure the company is leveraging the most effective sales approaches and technologies.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Hospitality, Management or related field and/or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of sales and/or marketing experience. (B2C preferred)
- Experience managing sales, marketing, and/or event teams.
- Proven record of developing executing sales strategies.
- Experience managing a team of 10+ people.
- Excellent communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in Timeshare sales.
- Working knowledge of Salesforce CRM.
- Equivalent combination of customer service, problem solving, and management experience.
