Pay Range:$29.82 - $41.60

The Residential Supervisor is responsible for maintaining safe and supportive operations in the program. This position is also responsible for maintaining all requirements of residential licensing, the Teaching Family Association, accreditation bodies, and SEARHC policies.
Shift Details
Shift work, including evenings, weekends, holidays are part of the position. Successful applicant must be flexible.

Key Essential Functions and Accountabilities of the Job
Provides onsite orientation, ongoing training, and consultation services to the program staff.
Ensures program schedule and staffing schedule are updated and implemented.
Utilizes and models teaching techniques and interventions according to the Teaching Family Model (TFM) and other common treatment modalities.
Engages youth and families within the treatment process, provides regular updates to families and other treatment team members.
Provides consultation services to team members according to the service delivery schedule.
Documents consultations and training according to TFM and SEARHC standards.
Provides written feedback timely.
Ensures target skills are updated weekly, reflecting individual goals and objectives from the youth treatment plans.
Monitors the appropriate use of the motivation system and completes regular updates and reviews. Ensures youth receive earned privileges timely.
Follows all ethical and program standards outlined by the Teaching Family Association.
Ensures completion of various safety drills as required in the residential licensing regulations and accreditation standards.
Implements and adheres to all licensing accreditation, Medicaid, and TFM regulations and standards.
Completes all required documentation timely.
Provides guidance in crises and emergency situations.
Ensures privacy and confidentiality. Immediately reports all breaches of privacy or confidentiality to Program Manager.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Education, Certifications, and Licenses Required
Basic Life Support.
Alaska State Chemical Dependency Counselor II or NCAC 1 certification or ability to acquire within 3 years of hire.
Current and valid State of Alaska Driver's License.
Certification in an evidence based therapeutic model, e.g., Teaching Families (TFM) depending on location.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Certification in the Teaching Family Model is preferred OR if the applicant is not certified in the TFM, s/he must achieve and demonstrate proficient knowledge and application of the TFM within 6 months from start date as a Residential Supervisor in order to maintain the position.
Experience Required
Minimum of 1 year of experience providing behavioral health services to youth and families.
Must be 21 years of age
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of behavioral health and substance use disorders, treatment modalities and effects on the human body, mind, and relationships
Knowledge of risk management techniques and the ability to effectively manage risks inherent with operation of a residential facility.
Strong skills with computers and various computer software programs including MS Word and MS Excel and Outlook
Ability to understand and follow agencies policies and procedures
Ability to understand and assist program adherence to regulatory and compliance requirements
Ability to lead trainings for staff supervised
Ability to maintain a positive attitude and work closely and collaboratively with other program and SEARHC employees
Ability to work days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Required Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS)- American Heart Association, De-escalating Training- The Mandt System Inc, Driver License- State of Alaska, Food Handlers Card- Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation, National Certified Addiction Counselor- The Association for Addiction Professionals
