Job Description

Job Summary:

The Hospital Operations Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the daily administrative and operational functions of the hospital. This position bridges multiple departments, assisting with human resources tasks, managing supply procurement, and coordinating new employee orientation to ensure smooth and efficient hospital operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Human Resources Support

  • Assist with recruitment processes including scheduling interviews and onboarding.
  • Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with HR policies.
  • Support benefits administration and employee inquiries.
  • Coordinate training sessions and maintain training documentation.

Supply Chain & Procurement

  • Monitor inventory levels and order medical and office supplies as needed.
  • Liaise with vendors to ensure timely delivery and cost-effective purchasing.
  • Track and reconcile supply invoices and purchase orders.
  • Maintain accurate records of supply usage and stock levels.

New Employee Orientation

  • Organize and facilitate orientation sessions for new hires.
  • Prepare orientation materials and ensure all onboarding documentation is completed.
  • Serve as a point of contact for new employees during their transition period.
  • Coordinate with department heads to schedule training and shadowing opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in hospital administration or healthcare operations preferred.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and hospital management systems (e.g., Epic, Meditech).

Work Environment:

  • Fast-paced hospital setting.
  • May require occasional evening or weekend hours depending on operational needs.
