IAV is currently seeking an AI Engineer at our North American Headquarters in Novi, Michigan. Entry level position that works closely with project team members, customers, and other key players. Position requires prior experience in the field PMTA and a demonstrated understanding of the technical aspects of the job.

Requirements

Essential Responsibilities & Activities:

• Support planning and execution of engineering activities as directed by supervisor or senior team members.
• Work on Model-Based Tool development
• Work on AI engineering
• Work on modelling processes and abstracting these by automation
• Work on Model Based Systems Engineering and Coding  
• Work on all phases or aspects of projects including technical studies, preparation of specifications, technical plans, testing, marketing support, data analysis and validation
• Setup and work with CI/CD-frameworks
• Support project reviews targeted to assure compliance with engineering principles, company standards, and customer requirements
• Support customer meetings
• Support business and strategic company development opportunities
• Demonstrate a willingness to learn and build technical knowledge and ability
• Maintain ISO required documentation (project diary, open issues list etc.)
• Travel for purposes of test trips, training, or meetings, possibly outside the country
• Other duties as assigned.

Essential Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or an equivalent engineering study
• Master's Degree or PhD is preferred
• Experience in working with AI/engineering AI applications
• Demonstrated ability to perform relevant engineering tasks with minimal guidance
• Demonstrated ability to develop technical specialty beyond basic level
• Familiarity with software that supports work listed under essential functions
• Appreciation for and desire to work with a diverse workforce
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of project management techniques and skills; corporate quality policy standards
• Must be flexible; may be required to move from one project to another based on business need; may be periods of “down time” not working on a customer project
• Must be able to drive a vehicle legally in the United States; may be required to drive personal vehicle independently to the different IAV locations and customer locations
