Logistics Specialist

This role is responsible for the accurate and timely picking, packing, preparation, and shipping of all customer orders. Additionally, the role is responsible for accurate material handling and cycle count functions.

What You Will Do:

• Performs data entry to release, moves into location, or adjusts inventory through computer software
• Addresses departmental paperwork and conducts physical searches/research of missing products
• Releases production process orders; reviews and completes production posting and usage transactions on process orders; and maintains files
• Assists in researching discrepancies on cycle counts
• Responsible for month end close; that all process orders are completed in a timely manner for month end without crossing monthly lines. Report such to controller
• Ensure Inventory accuracy and monitor monthly reports (MUV) to ensure targets are met
• Monitors bulk tanks weekly for standard set by Ecolab/Nalco procedure.
• Learn to backup Logistics Specialist for Cycle Counting
• Interfaces with lab personnel, planners, production supervisors and operators.
• Reports damages and discrepancies for accounting, reimbursement, and record-keeping purposes
• Works with establishment representatives to rectify problems such as damages, shortages, and nonconformance to specifications
• Tracks departmental data and generates applicable reports as needed
• Stores shipping materials and supplies to maintain inventory of stock
• Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
• Performs other duties as assigned

Position Details:

• Plant location: Ellwood City, PA Plant
• Work week and shift: Monday- Friday, 6am- 2pm, Flexible start/end time
• Compensation package offered: $21.50 / hour with some OT

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED
• 1 year of customer service, administrative, inventory, production, or supply chain support role
• 1 year of previous experience in a warehouse, transportation, shipping, and receiving related capacity
• 1 year of Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
• 1 year of WMS (Koerber and ERP-SAP, etc) experience
• No Immigration Sponsorship available for this opportunity

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to lift/carry 50lbs
• Have the ability to bend, squat down, and reach above your head
• Must be able to pass a drug screen and physical exam

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in a related field
• Experience with Total Production Management (TPM) & Continuous Improvement Systems
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
• Strong attention to detail, good communication skills, and a team player
• Strong communication and mathematical skills

Annual or Hourly Compensation Range

The pay range for this position is $43,200.00 - $64,800.00. Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation, such as experience, education, training, geography, etc. We comply with all minimum wage and overtime laws.
