Job Summary:
The Northern Virginia franchise is seeking a Residential Construction Project Manager to provide extraordinary care while serving others in their time of need. This franchise serves Loudoun, Fairfax, Fauquier, Stafford, Prince William counties.
The Residential Construction Project Manager is a team player who supports customers during stressful property loss situations by embodying our four core values: Deliver what you promise, Respect the Individual, Have pride in what you do, and Practice continuous improvement. This role requires urgency, exceptional service, and clear, value-driven communication.
Key responsibilities include coordinating with internal teams and external partners (insurance carriers, adjusters, TPAs, contractors, etc.), managing project budgets and schedules, and ensuring high-quality restoration. Strong emotional intelligence, organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task are essential, along with the ability to sell PDR as a trusted partner and meet financial and production goals.
Job Responsibilities:
- Professionally represent the company's principles of honesty and integrity.
- Manage and execute a portfolio of complex restoration projects for the entire life cycle of the rebuild (Scope to Certificate of Completion).
- Provide accurate and complete assessments of the damage resulting from the loss and the required construction scope of work to repair the property to pre-loss conditions.
- As needed, draft the plans and/or construction documents required for a building permit to be approved and issued across multiple jurisdictions.
- Continuously work to ensure compliance with all company processes, policies, better business practices, and in accordance with the laws and regulations in the jurisdictions in which the company operates.
- Manage and maintain strong relationships with customers to minimize and mitigate quality and timeliness issues.
- Execute Large Loss Residential and Commercial (typically over $50,000) projects that require a higher level of complexity across multiple disciplines/trades to complete the reconstruction of the property
- Negotiate and execute change orders, work orders, subcontracts, and purchase orders.
- Provide recruitment and management of subcontractors.
- Work with the administrative team to collect payments on projects with outstanding issues.
- Project a positive image of the organization to colleagues, customers, industry, and community.
- Meet operational objectives of Sales, Gross Margin, Job Closings and Net Promoter Score.
- Track metrics during bi-weekly goal setting and review meetings.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Comprehensive knowledge of residential and commercial construction processes.
- Ability to produce detailed production plans and track performance to plans that are shared with customers and other stakeholders.
- Ability to understand and interpret Xactimate insurance estimates for accuracy and completeness.
- Ability to actively problem solve for construction issues, customer concerns, and/or conflicting priorities.
- Knowledge of how to research and apply the current building code requirements.
- Superior verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrate active listening skills that result in proactive issue resolution and building strong relationships.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of the Insurance Industry claim process.
- Consistently represent the values and culture of the company.

- Superior managerial and diplomacy skills.
- Proficient with computers and construction software.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Finance, Construction Management or relevant field.
- Extensive and diversified background with at least 6 years of related construction experience.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite or related business software.
Working Conditions:
- Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods while working on a computer.
- May involve significant stand/walk/ push/pull.
- Adjusting or moving objects up to 50 pounds in all directions.
- Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
Compensation & Benefits:
$70,000 - $80,000 base pay + sales incentive bonus that is eligible for quarterly payout.
