Job Description

We're looking for a collaborative and organized professional to support the physical side of safety and elevate our programs to the next level.

Join PBI Companies as a Corporate EHS Specialist, where you will play a key supporting role in building, organizing, and delivering impactful safety programs across all PBI Gordon and subsidiary locations. Reporting to the Environmental Health and Safety Manager, this role is ideal for someone with strong environmental health and safety knowledge, a knack for organization, and the creativity to develop solutions that work in real-life operational settings.

What You'll Do:

  • Support and enhance safety programs related to lockout/tagout, forklift safety, confined spaces, and more.
  • Assist in the development and creation of compliant and effective safety programs, policies, and training.
  • Coordinate and track timely completion of EHS training across all locations-no last-minute scrambles.
  • Provide technical and behind-the-scenes support that helps keep the EHS team organized and efficient.
  • Help build emergency action plans and ensure alignment across all sites.
  • Participate in incident investigations and help implement meaningful corrective actions.
  • Stay up to date on regulatory changes and support compliance efforts.
  • Travel to facilities (10-25%) for audits, trainings, and implementation support.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree in a relevant field preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in EHS within manufacturing or warehouse environments.
  • Demonstrated experience with OSHA, DOT, and other safety compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in lockout/tagout, powered industrial trucks, confined spaces, job hazard analysis, and incident investigation.
  • Strong computer skills, especially with Microsoft Office.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%.
