Floor Coverings International of Waukesha, WI is looking for a top-notch Production Coordinator to add to our team.

Job Summary
The FCI Production Coordinator is responsible for performing tasks pertaining to the installation of a flooring project, and delivering on commitments made to the customer during the sale of the project. This position is essential to ensuring customers have a positive experience and that jobs are produced both efficiently and profitably. The Production Coordinator is a role that revolves around a high level of customer service, communication, problem solving, organization, delegation, and planning ahead, and includes technical responsibilities. Thoroughness and strong attention to detail is key to ensuring each project looks impressive before being revealed to the customer. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, able to be trusted to carry out duties independently and thoroughly, will exhibit great teamwork, a positive attitude, and a strong sense of ownership for the role.
Main Responsibilities
- Familiarize yourself with the details of each project as laid out in the project proposal, work order, sales notes, and CRM data to ensure proper preparation, priority management, scheduling, and task completion will be achieved.
- Assist in ensuring all necessary prep items are acquired and ready prior to installation, including trim pieces, sanding and staining, transitions, adhesives, grouts, special tools, dust mitigation, dumpsters, etc.
- Serve as a liaison between the Production Manager, Installation Partners, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on each day's installations, tasks, needs, and other items as they arise.
- Conduct production site inspections to identify potential issues. When needed, complete final job walk-through.
- Resolve repairs, warranty work, and punch-list items with urgency and high level of quality.
Other Duties
- Ensure all product needed for a flooring project is onsite and all necessary preparation is completed on time.
- Set up Home Show booths as needed and participate in community-based events; this occasionally includes weekend hours.
- Carry out small installations or repairs; this often involves transitions and moldings (training available).
- Lifting up to 80 lbs. on occasion.
- Work with hand tools, power tools, paints, stains, and finishes.
- Keep warehouse, showroom, office space, exterior areas and company vehicles organized and presentable at all times.
- Be available to attend training seminars as needed.
- Continually educate yourself on new flooring types and installation methods.
- At all times, ensure conduct and job performance aligns with FCI's core values and mission.
Compensation and Work Hours
This is a full-time salaried position that will be compensated commensurate with experience and qualifications. Compensation is paid via direct deposit twice monthly. Simple IRA with employer match is available after first six months of employment. Qualified Small Employer Health Reimbursement Arrangement (QSEHRA) is available after 90 days toward qualified health care expenses and/or health insurance premiums. Other benefits include paid time off, holidays, short term disability and accident coverage.
General hours are from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, however this may vary depending on daily production work flow. Weekend hours are rare, but necessary on occasion.
