About This Role
As a Manufacturing Engineer at Crusoe, you will be instrumental in bridging the gap between our electrical and mechanical engineering designs and their successful execution in our production environment. This is an individual contributor role, requiring a strong technical aptitude to interpret and migrate engineering documentation into our manufacturing ecosystem. Your excellent verbal and written communication skills, organizational abilities, flexibility, and willingness to learn will be key to your success in this fast-paced and dynamic environment. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless information flow and efficient production.
What You'll Be Working On
Documentation Interpretation & Translation: Interpret complex mechanical and electrical engineering design documentation, including fabrication drawings, power electronics and industrial controls schematics, wiring diagrams, and engineering Bills of Materials (BOMs).
Production Data Migration: Translate design engineering documentation into production-specific information, such as extracting raw materials, modified parts, and purchased parts from engineered BOMs for manufacturing use.
Communication & Coordination: Ensure effective and timely communication of planning deliverables to purchasing, production, inventory, and project management teams.
Supplier Collaboration: Support the engineering and procurement teams by collaborating with outside suppliers and vendors to obtain necessary quotes and proposals.
ERP Data Management: Accurately enter planning deliverables and manufacturing data into the company's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software.
Process Documentation: Generate and maintain Manufacturing Processes and Manufacturing Work Instructions, working closely with Engineering's Document Control Administration.
Tooling & Equipment Identification: Identify the need for standard or special gauging, and specialized equipment or tooling required for production processes.
Continuous Improvement: Drive First Pass Yield (FPY) and Overall Process Effectiveness (OPE) improvement initiatives within manufacturing.
Cross-Functional Teamwork: Work collaboratively with a multifunctional team including Engineering, Production, Procurement, and CNC Programmers.
Manufacturing Support: Provide timely support in resolving manufacturing issues and challenges.
Other Duties: Undertake additional duties as necessary to advance the mission and operational efficiency of the organization.
What You'll Bring to the Team
Education: Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in an engineering or related field.
Experience:
Exposure to manufacturing processes, mechanical machinery, power electronics, or industrial controls.
Experience reading and interpreting fabrication drawings and/or electrical schematics.
Experience reading and interpreting Engineering Bills of Materials.
Technical Aptitude: Strong technical understanding to interpret complex engineering documentation.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration and documentation.
Organizational Skills: Highly organized and detail-oriented, capable of managing complex data and information.
Adaptability: Willingness to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Software Proficiency:
Familiarity with sourcing and purchasing practices for manufacturing.
Familiarity with ERP software.
Familiarity with typical productivity software including Google Suite and Microsoft Office.

Compensation Range:
Compensation will be paid in the range of $80,000 - $95,000 + bonus. Restricted Stock Units are included in all offers. Pay to be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data
