Job Description
Aeroblaze Laboratory is a test lab with a focus in the aerospace and automotive industries. We provide flammability testing and certification for aircraft/auto interiors and engine compartments. We're looking for a team player who wants to work hard with us, and achieve great things in the years to come.
Job Description:
- Conduct routine flammability and fire testing of materials
- Responsible for test samples through the entire process: Receiving, Preparing, Testing, Recording Results
- Set up laboratory equipment as required by various test standards
- Document information by maintaining daily logs and record books
- Disassemble, clean, and maintain equipment
- Communicate test results with customers
- Cut & glue foam, fabric, etc. to build test samples
- Provide technical assistance to other functions as needed
The Nitty-gritty:
- We burn stuff. You will frequently be required to spend extended time on your feet and be exposed to heat and fumes (with a respirator).
- We're a small company (currently 5 people) so we all help where needed. You'll occasionally be doing things that don't fall under your job description
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
- 3+ years technical experience preferred (not required)
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude
- Demonstrated technical writing and communications skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Typing Speed 30+ WPM (will be tested)
- Analytical and numerical skills: ability to perform mathematical calculations (add, subtract, multiply, divide) in different units of measurement; ability to use concepts such as fractions, percentages, and ratios
- Good organization skills and ability to multi-task
- Ability to perform physically demanding work such as moving and lifting equipment, standing for long periods of time, working in hot environments, etc.
Interview Process: If selected for an interview, the first interview will be via zoom. If selected for a second interview, it will be in person, at which point you will be tested on some of the items listed above to verify that you possess the critical skills.
