Situated at our bustling Legacy Gulfton Dashwood Clinic (54202 Dashwood Dr.), you will play a crucial role in patient access, ensuring seamless processes for third-party reimbursement. Be at the forefront of advancing healthcare inclusivity by utilizing your bilingual skills to engage with our vibrant English and Spanish-speaking communities.

As a bilingual Eligibility Specialist, you will navigate the complexities of healthcare eligibility, shaping patient interactions from the initial appointment setup to diligent insurance coding. Your role will be pivotal in dismantling barriers to healthcare access, contributing to a collaborative environment that thrives on innovation and excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Determine a patient's eligibility for third-party reimbursement by following procedures and program-specific guidelines.
  • Accurately process and manage data to admit new patients into the CPCDMS system, ensuring completeness of all required paperwork.
  • Orchestrate the initial service appointments following eligibility determination, setting the stage for a successful care journey.
  • Ensure meticulous and precise coding for insurance billing, supporting our fiscal responsibility and compliance.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for inquiries from prospective applicants and existing patients, offering assistance with compassion and clarity.
  • Commit to ongoing professional development by attending all required safety and annual education programs.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • High School Graduate or GED required.
  • 3 - 5 years of medical billing experience preferred, demonstrating a solid understanding of the healthcare financial landscape.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish, essential for effective communication within our diverse community.
  • Experience with ICD-A or CPT codes preferred, supporting our technical needs in billing and coding processes.
