Job Description
Location: Beloit, KS Campus
Reports to: Dean of Student Experience
Status: Part-time
Purpose
Provides oversight and leadership for all facets of shooting sports. Key responsibilities include: supervising the shooting sports team, organizing practices, events and travel for the team, as well as assisting with fundraising efforts.
Minimum Qualifications
- Supervisory skills
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Shooting sports experience
- Pre-employment background screening
- Have valid drivers license
Physical Requirements/Environmental Conditions
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required
to stand, sit; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer
and telephone keyboard
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision
requirements due to computer work
- Occasional light to moderate lifting, less than 50lbs
- May require some travel
- Outdoor environment
- Basic technology skills
- Occasional stress due to deadlines and/or dealing with unpleasant or
angry people
Job Duties
Essential Functions
- Development of the shooting sports team; coordinate practice times,
scheduling contests, monitoring budgets, establish effective
communication with team and staff
- Assist in recruiting prospective students that are interested in shooting
sports
- Coach and mentor shooting sport students
- Organize and execute all fundraising initiatives.
- Help connect students to all of the resources offered by the institution
- Demonstrate leadership, sportsmanship, and mature conduct
- Travel with the team to provide oversight and enforcing all institution
rules and standards
- Other duties as assigned by the Dean of Student Experience or the President
