Job Description
GEICO is looking for a passionate and talented Senior Content Strategist to join our Design team. In this role, you will work closely with product managers, engineers and other experience designers from initial concept and strategy through the execution. Your background in human-centered design will make you an advocate for our customers and internal users as you iterate `and test your concepts in a highly collaborative team environment
This position is a hybrid role that requires to be on-site 3 days a week at one of the following locations: Chevy Chase, MD; New York City, NY; Washington, DC; Chicago, IL; Palo Alto, CA; Seattle, WA
Job Responsibilities
- Build relationships and collaborate with other design, research and key cross-functional partners to shape user experience through content
- Leverage data, user research, competitive insights, and user-centered design principles to influence project direction in business-critical site experiences
- Craft high quality UX writing for a range of product surfaces-including microcopy, error and confirmation messages, push notifications, modals, and product education moments - to clearly communicate design intent and business requirements
- Write, edit, test, analyze, and iterate on content to make our products easy and intuitive to use
- Perform user research to find the words that both resonate with people and drive results
- Manage multiple priorities in an agile environment with shifting deadlines and limited oversight, demonstrating ownership and clarity in your process
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience (or 3+ with Masters degree) in content strategy, UX/UI writing, content design, and/or technical writing or copywriting
- A portfolio of relevant UX content examples demonstrating your proficiency in UX content, and ability to discuss your involvement in the overall design process
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's design in relevant field (Human-Computer Interaction, English, Communications, or similar) or equivalent practical experience
- Experience working on customer-facing applications
- A deep understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices, including content strategy and how it supports UX content strategy and UX copy
- Ability to build and maintain strong, positive working relationships and collaborate with content strategists, conversation designers, UX designers, UX researchers and product managers
- Experience with tools such as Figma, FigJam or Mural, and Azure DevOps
- Experience working for retail or web-based companies, financial services or customer-loyalty driven experiences a plus
- Experience with Agile development process a plus
- Experience with design systems a plus
Annual Salary
$109,675.00 - $172,200.00
The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate's work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
