Job Description
Occupational Therapist, OT – ProgressiveHealth of Indiana, LLC – Princeton, IN
Do you have current experience with or the desire to learn about Pediatric-specific care? If so, we're looking for you! Experienced OT’s and new graduates are welcome to apply! This is a wonderful opportunity to expand knowledge and experience in a clinical setting.
In this unique PRN position you have the option to float between 2 unique settings, or to work at one particular location.
- Setting #1 - On-Site Pediatric Occupational Therapy - One of our major manufacturing centers also is home to a daycare for the children of the team members. Our amazing OTs provide in-house Pediatric care to these patients so that their therapy can be streamlined, increasing the chances for children to get state-of-the-art care. In this unique position, you can build your own flexible hours that work with your schedule. Our team is open to one longer shift or several shorter shifts!
- Setting #2 - Outpatient Pediatric Therapy - If you are excited about providing Pediatric care in the Outpatient Department of a major hospital, this is a great fit! For those OTs who would like additional training in Pediatrics, we will pair you with a dedicated Pediatric team who can give you support and guidance as you learn! Occasional weekend shifts are required to provide care in our Inpatient department.
What will you be doing in this role?
- Provide occupational therapy services and evaluations to patients
- Provide occupational therapy techniques not limited to P/ROM, joint mobilization, massage, myofascial release, desensitization techniques, and dressing changes
- Achieve patient care time targets, with a general target of 75%+ minimum individual patient care time (unadjusted) in the outpatient setting.
- Keeping accurate, detailed documentation with efficiency while being able to provide feedback to the patient for continuous health improvements
- Delivering care as broadly specified within applicable state practice act.
This does not necessarily list all responsibilities, duties, requirements, or efforts associated with the job. While this list is intended to be an accurate reflection of the job, the company reserves the right to review and modify the functions, duties and requirements of the job or to require that additional or different tasks be performed as circumstances or business needs require.
Our ideal candidate will have:
- A Master's or Doctoral Degree in Occupational Therapy
- The required state licensure, certification, and registration that is in good standing with the state or the ability to obtain the required state licensure
- CPR/AED/BLS (basic life support) certification or the ability to obtain it prior to start of employment; maintain and provide proof of current certification(s)
- The ability to stand, walk, and sit throughout entire assigned shift
- A high degree of professionalism in both written and verbal communication
- The ability to work both independently and in a team environment, without constant supervision
- Be able to maintain confidentiality
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency with databases and with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
