Mechanic - Traditional Schedule
Job description - Hourly Position
The essential functions of this position are:
- Maintain equipment as assigned based on the operational needs of the mine.
- Ability to follow and understand electrical and hydraulic schematics
- Knowledge of solid state circuitry electrical and hydraulic troubleshooting
- Maintain compliance with all state and federal laws and all company policies
The marginal activities of this position are:
- Perform any other assigned tasks for which he or she is qualified by virtue of training or experience
Work Schedule
- 8 hour shift
- Rotating shifts
- Monday through Friday, occasional Saturday
- Overtime – as required, and/or voluntary
License/Certification:
- WV Miner's Card - Black Hat (Required)
- WV Electrical Card (Required)
Physical Requirements:
- Operate equipment in a safe efficient manner
- Use various hand tools
- Lift, carry, push, pull – tools, materials and supplies 50 – 100 lbs. regularly
- Walk, bend, climb, reach, crawl as necessary
- Work Closely with others in a team environment
