Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00 am – 4:30 pm or other full-time equivalent.
Reports to: Clinical Director / Clinical Supervisor / Behavioral Health Technician Director / Behavioral Health Technician Supervisor / Behavioral Health Technician Managers / Director of Nursing
Compensation: Hourly Employee; $17-$18/hour. Commensurate with experience.

Position Summary
The Behavioral Health Support Technician and Driver plays a vital role in supporting the FACE to FACE Partial Hospital Program. This position encompasses a broad range of responsibilities, including providing direct consumer support, assisting with administrative tasks, and ensuring safe and reliable transportation. Committed to excellence in behavioral healthcare, the Behavioral Health Support Technician and Driver works collaboratively with clinical and administrative teams to enhance consumer experience and promote positive outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Uphold professional standards, clinic policies, and foster a positive environment while providing safe transportation, co-facilitating group therapy, and offering daily consumer support to achieve milieu goals.
  • Manage crises, including CPI-approved interventions, CPR, and responding to elopement incidents, while ensuring safety during meals and snacks.
  • Monitor and supervise consumers according to rotation schedules until they are with parent or guardian, maintain a clean environment, and safely handle bodily fluid cleanups.
  • Assist with site screening procedures, answer phones professionally, schedule and confirm appointments, and help open/close the office.
  • Collect and record patient payments, ensure completion of intake paperwork, and obtain vital signs (BP, HR, weight, height) as directed.
  • Assist in confirming, obtaining, and updating consents, documentation for lab work, and coordinating with internal and external entities.
  • Support lab specimen collection (urine), assist the nurse with maintaining first aid kits, medication sample inventory, and Telehealth processes.
  • Develop proficiency in designing and optimizing transportation routes by analyzing traffic patterns, client locations, and scheduling needs to enhance efficiency.
  • Complete documentation per clinic procedures, optimize transportation routes for efficiency, and provide coverage at various locations as directed by leadership.
  • Maintain professional boundaries, communicate consistently with staff, participate in team meetings, and adapt to a dynamic work environment.
  • Accept feedback, pursue professional growth, stay current with training, and perform additional duties as needed to support clinic operations.

  • Employees are expected to maintain a professional appearance in alignment with the Employee Handbook and be prepared for active engagement with consumers.
  • This role requires extended periods of remaining in a stationary position during HIPAA-compliant in-person sessions and requires the ability to perform physical activities such as bending and reaching. Reasonable accommodations can be provided to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions as needed.
  • The position involves prolonged active listening and verbal communication.
  • Proficiency in using computers, phones, and office equipment for documentation and telehealth purposes is necessary. This includes but is not limited to Office 365 and Electronic Medical Record systems.
  • The role may require moving within the office or traveling between locations to fulfill job responsibilities. Reasonable accommodation will be considered based on individual needs.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in social work, counseling, psychology or related field preferred.
  • Mental health experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in data entry and electronic medical records (EMR) systems preferred.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license with an approved driving record that meets facility and insurance requirements.
