Job Description

Responsible for creating, testing, deploying, and maintaining interfaces (i.e., HL7 interface, etc.), by utilizing Corepoint Interface Engine, with Action code. And using Cache coding to work with interface data in Cache environment. Creating, testing, deploying, and maintaining custom reporting and applications to meet user's need by utilizing Cache coding, and various tools like MS SQL server manager, Access Database. Understanding of project development life cycle to ensure successful project development and deployment.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Two or more years related experience within a healthcare environment
  • Two to five years' experience in SQL, VBA, VB, Open VMS or M programming required
  • Knowledge of MS Office, Cache Coding, and HL7

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  1. Demonstrates familiarity with syntax, structure, and features of relevant programming languages.

  2. Effectively gathers and interprets project specifications and requirements.

  3. Delivers code that is clear and well-documented.

  4. Demonstrates proficient bug resolution and problem solving.

  5. Follows organization coding standard.

  6. Demonstrates the ability to manage multiple commitments.

  7. Identifies potential conflicts before they impact commitments.

  8. Completes work according to the set priorities.

  9. Develops AES routines for custom reporting and applications. Develops advanced level queries in the

GE/IDX applications.

  1. Identifies and analyzes problems related to programming, interfaces, reports and software

development.

Total Rewards

The referenced base salary range represents the low and high end of University of Maryland's Faculty Physician's Inc. salary range for this position. Some candidates will not be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. Exact salary will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which may include the successful candidate's geographic location, skills, work experience, market conditions, internal equity, responsibility factor and span of control, education/training and other qualifications.
