Job Description

Performs a wide-variety of IT functions in support of company operations.

Security- Monitor and educate end users on network and computer safety. Maintain computer equipment and software to ensure secure and efficient operations. Manage Log-ins, permissions, users and software to ensure security.

Hardware- Maintain and repair Information Technology related equipment (computers, servers, phones, printers, networking equipment, etc) and correct malfunctions via troubleshooting and networking. Coordinate deployment and replacement of hardware and software with vendors and staff (Including RMA and Warranty Returns) to include phones and security equipment (including but not limited to surveillance cameras).

Software- Prepare computers, phones and other equipment for deployment using imaging software and perform base configuration. Modify configurations and logins for utilities, software, etc. Work with 3rd party vendors, such as Dealerbuilt/CUDL/etc, to provide support for software, websites, and hardware.

Networking- Troubleshoot and diagnose network failures. Configure and troubleshoot tcp/ip based hardware and software settings in equipment. Install physical network media such as patch panels, cables, and mounting and racking hardware. Install and terminate CAT6, which may require use of access equipment such as ladders, boom-lifts, scissor-lifts, etc. Install and terminate multimode OM4 fiber.

Essential Functions

  • Handle incoming calls in a friendly, cordial and businesslike manner.
  • Educate staff on Ticket system utilization.
  • Provide technical support by phone, remote access, or in person as needed. Respond with appropriate urgency to IT issues.
  • Analyze technology needs, evaluate possible solutions, and make recommendations
  • Install, Deploy and Repair computer systems, peripherals, software and equipment.
  • Organize and coordinate computer installation and troubleshooting activities with team members
  • Properly document repairs and fixes for future reference in wiki and IT tickets
  • Provide user training and support regarding use of technology
  • Maintain and update skills to remain proficient with respect to advances in all forms of information technologies
  • Maintain consumables inventory information for accurate on hand counts and notification of low stock/reorder conditions

Qualifications

  • High School Graduation or Equivalent
  • 2-5 years IT experience (preferred) and/or post-secondary education equivalent
  • Valid, unrestricted Drivers license for more than 3 years.

In accordance with RCW 49.44.240 this position is identified as Safety Sensitive and is subject to pre-employment drug screening including cannabis.
