Advanced Traffic Control, based in Auburn, Washington specializes in delivering high-caliber traffic control services for large-scale, multi-year infrastructure projects across Washington State. We have an exciting opportunity for The Director of Traffic Services, Pacific Northwest region, reports directly to the Vice President of Traffic Services and is responsible for overseeing and optimizing traffic control operations across the PNW Region.
What you will be responsible for:
- Direct regional operations, projects, or services including all related administrative activities.
- Provide strategic leadership and oversight for all traffic services operations across the Pacific Northwest, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and operational excellence.
- Lead the development and execution of regional business strategies, ensuring efficient delivery of services, high performance standards, and a culture of continuous improvement.
- Serve as a key advisor to executive leadership on regional performance, long-term planning, and strategic risk management.
- Lead organizational change initiatives to improve service models, expand regional capacity, and support future growth.
- Act as a regional spokesperson for operational excellence, safety culture, and client service delivery standards.
- Manage supplier relationships to ensure that they efficiently and effectively provide needed goods or services within budgetary limits and timelines.
- Establish and uphold accountability among regional leadership teams to maintain safety, quality, compliance, and operational efficiency standards.
- Ensure regional capabilities consistently meet or exceed standards for service delivery, safety, regulatory compliance, client satisfaction, and financial performance.
- Direct the movement of services to ensure efficiency, effectiveness, or sustainability of operations and make strategic course corrections as necessary.
- Monitor emerging industry trends, regulatory changes, and client requirements to ensure operational readiness and service adaptability.
- Build and maintain strategic partnerships with public and private sector stakeholders to position the organization as a market leader in traffic services.
- Drive regional performance improvement through continuous evaluation of KPIs, client feedback, and competitive benchmarking.
- Review Health & Safety related paperwork including safety meeting minutes and ensure compliance with Washington State Department of Labor & Industries and Division of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH).
- Act in accordance with relevant legislation and laws such as The Washington Industrial Safety and Health Act (WISHA).
- Sets and maintains the standards for the continued learning and development of direct reports including working closely with Human Resources Business Partners as required to create development plans and succession readiness.
- Assist the VP, and Marketing team with all client requests, RFP's, RFQ'S, and bid opportunities.

What we need from you:
- Valid driver's license.
- Minimum 7 years' experience in multi-city trades or similar work experience & 5 years of leading managers with direct reports.
- 10+ years of leadership and management experience with a track record of success leading diverse teams.
- Must maintain state-recognized Traffic Control certification provided by the employer.
- Must review and maintain a clear understanding of the Washington State Department of Transportation Traffic Manual.
- Must demonstrate knowledge of Oregon's traffic control certification requirements and be familiar with applicable Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) standards.
- Must possess knowledge of Oregon Occupational Safety and Health Division (OSHA) regulations related to traffic control in construction or related industries.
- Must review and maintain a clear understanding of The Washington Industrial Safety and Health Act (WISHA).
