Job Description
The Supervisor is responsible for the daily operations of assigned service areas. Under the guidance of the Manager the Supervisor will participate in the interview and onboarding processes for new employees and create a training schedule for orientation. The Supervisor will assist the Manager with tracking time and attendance, scheduling, conducting quality audits, maintaining personnel files, and completing employee evaluations. Supervisors will have the ability to administer counseling/corrective actions in the absence of the manager, or in other situations which the manager is unavailable. General administrative functions include, but are not limited to: ordering supplies, coordinating meetings, attending meetings, managing files, and communicating with leadership and staff.
Education
High School Diploma or GED required
Associates preferred
Experience
Two years healthcare supervisor experience in revenue cycle preferred
Three years experience in hospital revenue cycle setting preferred
Certification & Licensures
CHAA Certification required or obtain within 12 months of hire
Qualifications
Strong attention to detail required
Professional "On Stage" image when working with employees and customers required
Demonstrated knowledge of patient registration required
Exemplary understanding of the front end of the revenue cycle in a healthcare environment required
Experience working with the Epic EHR to run reports, solve work queue issues, resolve complex registration issues required
Ability to utilize good judgment and critical thinking skills to prioritize multiple tasks and problem solve required
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding personnel and patient matters required
Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of levels required
Exceptional skills in spelling, grammar, punctuation, and proofreading required
Ability to work in a high stress environment and under time constraints required
Knowledge of operational and facility needs required
Understanding of and ability to work within a diverse community required
Proficiency in utilizing cost estimate tools and ability to interpret various insurance benefits required
